When you think of cannons you often think of them being used violently. In this case however the cannons were used during a celebration. During the early 1900's, many people would set off cannons as well as fireworks during the fourth of July. This was a tradition done by many americans till it became a harm more than anything. Many people were killed from these explosions and the setting off of cannons even for celebrational purposes was prohibited.
I really like how you incorporated the cannons with the way people used them to celebrate rather than to murder people. Good jobbb
